GPSolo General Practice Digest Information

This is the 38th year of the Digest. Our Section has been active for more than 47 years, but since May, 1980, the Section has published the Digest 3 times a year. It is a summary update of the current significant developments in Texas law. A subscription is included in your section dues and is available to you online when it is published.

The current Fall 2017 digest is only available for members of the section here where you can download the whole digest as a PDF file with an interactive table of contents or browse the individual topics online from an HTML table of contents. The current letter from the Section's Chair is here. We do not get automatic membership updates from the State Bar. If you joined the section after August 24, 2017, we do not have your name in our database. Please notify the webmaster so you name can be added to the database.

If you are not a member, please browse our Spring 2017 issue, and if it is of value, join us. We think you will find it is a terrific way to keep up with the latest developments in several areas, or, if you already specialize, to keep up with your area within the broader context of the law.

A special note about email: Email notice of the availability of the current Digest is routinely sent to current members with email addresses listed with the State Bar with the exceptions of (1) those who have asked not to receive notices, (2) those who reported a notice from the Section as spam, and (3) those who use spam blocking software that requires a response from the sender for approval (such as Earthlink uses).
   (1) If you don't want us to email you, let us know and we'll take you off the list.
   (2) If tell your ISP that our notices are spam instead of telling the webmaster you do not want messages, we will be notified. Spam notifications increase the risk that this site or our domain will be blacklisted and that obviously negatively impacts your colleagues in the Section. We will remove you from the mail list and from the website database.
   (3) If you use a service whose spam blocking is a challenge-response system, you will not hear from us unless you approve email from the domains gpsolo.com or gpsolo.org. This is because we cannot do individual requests for authentication from your ISP.
